Lay down at the bottom of the Monti Lattari, Scala is one of the villages of the Amalfitan Coast, it was built by the Romans, which were shipwrecked along this coast while thay were going to Costantinopoli. A huge storm hit the Roman's ships throwing the survivors on the coasts. After that, the Roamns has decided to stay in the zone that has helped and protected them.

During the period that you can spend in Scala it's impossible to forget to visit the natural reserve called "Vallone delle Ferriere", an amazing place with a rich vegetation and where many rare species are still alive.

Also the gastronomic tradition of Scala has an important role into this territory. All the typical products of the zone are made by expert hands in order to enhance the porfumes, the coulours and the tastes of every meal giving to the guests a multisensorial experience.
