Furore is one of the 85 italian villages known with the name of "Paese Dipinto" (paint village), thanks to the amazing gallery of art in the outside which complete the natural beauty of this unchanted place.

F

urore has the only Fiordo in Italy, it was a shelter place for the sailors back in time, the fantasy flights away thinking about pirates and bandits hiding themselves in this extraordinary natural harbour. One of these famous bandits was called Ruggeri di Agerola, main character in one of the Boccacio's novel.

It will be easy to imagine plenty of pirates and bandits searching for an hidden place if you close your eyes listening to the waves sound that crashing on the rocks shaping them with violence and listening the wind sound that blow through the mediterranean vegetation. .

This place is a sort of precious treasure, a place to discover and enjoy.

Furore is not only wonderful for the Fiordo, but the most fashinating thing is closed in the rare development that this place had had during the centuries with its houses built on the bare rapid rocks of the big coast.

Federico Fellini and Roberto Rossellini, two of the most important directors of the old Italian cinema have filmed few of their unforgettable productions through the alleys and the little streets of this ancient suburb.

During the ciaks of the Rosselini's movie "Amore", starring by Anna Magnani, seems that love bloomed between the director and the actress, starting this difficult reletionship that made Ingrid Bergman so jealous.

Fiordo

The Fiordo of Furore was declared protected oasis, so it's the perfect place to see rare animals that have found a safe natural habitat where is possible to live. Between the ripid rocks of the Fiordo is possible to see the "Falchi pellegini" (pellegrin hawks), only few exemplary of this animal are still alive. It's possible to get to the Fiordo from the sea using a boat or walking a wonderful path through over 200 steps. It's not easy to arrive, but the view during the walking is pretty amazing and the astonishing landscape at the arrive will fully reward the effort. In the summer time is possible to eat few particular meals in this splendid place, finding a little restourant that only open in this season. I t's also possible to buy many handmade coloured products from local mediterranean artisans.

Nature Vacations

Furore is the perfect destination for romantic tour, thanks to the wonderful landscapes on the sea and the Fiordo. Obviously it's also a paradise for the nature lovers and the people that can enjoy every piece of wilderness. It's possible to find two different accomodations: the old houses of the fishermen transformed in bed and breakfast or modern hotels. Visiting Furore and its natural beauties is impossible to forget about the delicious local products, an old gastronimic tradition made by many fish meals and a fabulous red vine which is produted thanks to the sun, the wind and the the perfect position of the vineyeard.on the cultivation terraces. All these factors made possible to harvest an extraordinary grape.
